A Firm Foundation...
Riverwood's Big Dig is done!
Everyone is griping about the heat (me too!) but the dry weather has provided an excellent opportunity for our project to progress. The construction has now progressed to the point of preparing the foundation of the building. The excavation of the soils unsuitable for supporting the building is complete, the French drain has been installed and is functioning well. At last check, the outlines of the building had been staked out, and preparations were underway for the pouring of the foundation. They are also installing the underground utilities - water, sewer, electrical, etc. - as they prepare to pour the slab. That should be the next step in our process.
