We know that Jesus said that he was the “Living Water.” But he didn’t copyright “Spiritual Water.” And that’s where these misguided capitalists step into the picture.

A sampling from their website:

Spiritual Water was born as bottled water with spirituality, positive thinking, prayers, God, and beliefs. You choose which bottle fits your needs and your feelings, read the prayer, drink the water, believe in God – and in yourself – and the sky’s the limit…

Please note that “God” is fourth in the list of this nutri-spirit-cocktail-o’-goodness.

Other thoughts: what makes it spiritual? The picture, the prayer, the water itself….or the positive thinking? Or is it the secret cocktail combination of every element blended with care at the packaging plant?

FREEDOM WATER NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE! Do you have freedom? Do you need more freedom? Grab a cold freedom Spiritual Water bottle, read the prayer, believe in God, believe in yourself and the sky’s the limit…

Apparently, selling this stuff is even more rewarding than drinking it! Imagine that!!

“REWARDS & RECOGNITION A Mercedes convertible or hardtop? A first-class trip to Paris? A brilliant diamond necklace? Or, a 60” plasma HD TV? As a Spiritual Water independent distributor, you can pick the prize of your dreams, set your goal and go for it!

From the first day you start as a Spiritual Water independent distributor, you can begin earning profits and prizes through the Spiritual Water sales and continue to receive bigger rewards and bonuses, depending on your inner drive and achievements.”

Not only is the whole product concept beyond asinine, they aren’t even terribly good capitalists. I wondered what ridiculous markup they had on it. I can’t even find out how to order it, much less how much it costs.

The marketplace will eventually take care of the business defects. Theologically, though…..

I have something like that in my refrigerator right now (i.e., purified water with a message on it). The message? Change filter around July 10. Not in so many words though, it’s actually more of a graphic.

The sad thing (besides the fact that it may well be September before I remember do do it), is it does just as good as the water peddled in the aforementioned website and fluid ounce for fluid ounce, is considerably less expensive.
