You and the Internet

A new book, Against the Machine, by Lee Siegel, attempts to describe the effect of the internet on American culture. The New Your Times review can be found here.

Suffice it to say that Siegel doesn’t care for the Internet, and he warns you that if you sit in front of it for long periods of time, you will be encouraged toward “exhibitionism and asocial behavior.” The book is generally panned by the reviewer but Siegel makes some worthwhile points.
