Christian Chaff

Jesus and Santa

by Clay Staggs

I ran across these “Christian” spoofs of the I’m a Mac / I’m a PC ads.

Go see it for yourself… and weep at the sorry state of Christendom.

They’re here.

Words fail me.

Couldn’t watch but two of them. Was becoming physically ill.

Ditto Jimmy’s comment. This is absolutely insane!

Well..at first I wanted to weep…but mostly I feel inclined to offer an imprecatory prayer beseeching justice for blasphemy…and on the other hand, to hang my head and say “God be merciful to us all.” I doubt there is any other time in history when He has been dishonored in this particular way…made to seem trite and innocuous. I remember reading THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES (I think it was there) and in that government-controlled, futuristic world, people got their daily “fix” of religion by watching “The Clown” on TV, who was costumed as a first century Judean Shepherd and whose function was to make one laugh, to feel good about oneself, and to relieve any sense of guilt. These spoofs brought that sad passage to mind.
